After studying political science and journalism, Marie Baranger began working as a freelance journalist, joining Tempura Magazine in 2023. In 2024, she joined Fisheye Magazine as a member of the editorial team, a role she held for two years. She is now back to working as a freelance journalist.

Her year-long experience in Japan allowed her to deepen her connection to the country’s culture, language, and photography, which she considers both a creative outlet and a tool for understanding the world. Driven by literature, Asian creative scenes, cinema, and feminist engagement, she highlights emerging artists who offer unique perspectives on contemporary society.
