everything everywhere all at pride
2023 Paris Pride was a maze. I needed to be everywhere all at once to support my talented friends. An aperitive before the march in the 19th arrondissement, because it is a tradition. Marching from Nation to Rébuplique, because it is the route of the parade. Be at Bastille around 15 pm because one of your best friends is Djing in front of a dancing crowd. And finally be on a péniche at 8 pm, because another of your best friends is performing for the very first time as a drag queen on an open stage. This year’s pride was exhausting. But this year’s pride was all about pride and wonder (even if the parade was sad because there were no floats bringing colours and music to the march).
In the end, sweaty as I never was (because it was way too hot that day), with a broken back for carrying my cameras all day long, there was only one title possible for this photo series that presents love at its purest essence: Everything Everywhere All at Pride (in reference of the amazing Asian (and queer) film Everything Everywhere All at Once directed by Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan).
Welcome to my photographic journey through a day of brightness.
